Description
On this Padua private walking tour, an accredited local guide leads you and your party through the old centre for about two hours, with admission to the Scrovegni Chapel already included. No other travellers join, so the pace and the questions are yours.
The walk opens in the squares that give the city its character: Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza della Frutta and Piazza della Signoria, each overlooked by imposing buildings. Along the streets the guide shares anecdotes about the area and its past.
Inside the Scrovegni Chapel you see one of the finest examples of 14th-century art. Then comes the Palazzo della Ragione, once a market hall of the Middle Ages, followed by the Cathedral of Padua, whose first church dates to the 4th century.
