Description
This pasta and tiramisu cooking class in Padua happens in a real local's home, with an expert home cook as your teacher. It is run by Cesarine, Italy's oldest network of home cooks, whose hosts open their doors to travellers and serve only specialties from their own family cookbooks.
The hands-on lesson starts with the sfoglia, fresh pasta rolled out by hand. You then prepare two different kinds of pasta from scratch, one filled and one not, and finish with the iconic tiramisu. Watching the host work gives you tips you can use to cook the same dishes back home.
- The class on pasta and tiramisu
- An Italian aperitivo with prosecco and nibbles
- A lunch or dinner of the two pasta recipes and the tiramisu
- Water, wine and coffee
The class is shared with other food lovers, so it is also a way to make new friends at the table. It lasts about three hours. Tell the organisers about any intolerances or allergies when you book, so they can match you with the right host, and note that the class is not suitable for wheelchair users.
