Description
A Padua Baptistery visit puts you beneath a dome painted with Paradise. The frescoes were made by Giusto de' Menabuoi for Fina Buzzaccarini, wife of Francesco da Carrara the Elder, Lord of Padua, and rank among the highest achievements of Italian 14th-century art.
You wear headsets and follow a narrator who walks you in and through the space. The walls tell the story of salvation, starting with Genesis and ending with Revelation, and the Paradise above your head closes the cycle. The visit takes about an hour, and the audio guide comes in English, Italian, French, Spanish and German.
